A casino bonus is a benefit an online casino offers its players, such as a deposit bonus or free spins. The terms, including the wagering requirement, are stated on the casino’s own site and are worth reading before you claim the bonus.
A deposit bonus increases your deposit by a set percentage up to a maximum. For example, 100% up to €500 means a €100 deposit gives you €200 in total to play with. Bonus money almost always carries a wagering requirement, so it is not directly withdrawable. The part of a deposit that exceeds the ceiling does not earn any further bonus.
The wagering requirement tells you how many times the bonus has to be played through before winnings can be withdrawn. A 30x requirement on a €100 bonus means €3,000 in total bets. The lower the wagering requirement, the more the bonus is worth in practice: a large bonus with strict wagering can be worse than a small one with light terms.
